Cool Links
Author and Village Voice columnist Tristan Taormino has launched a brand new website in anticipation of the release of her new book May 1. OpeningUp.net is a website for people interested in open relationships of all kinds, including monogamy with benefits, nonmonogamy, partnered nonmonogamy, swinging, polyamory, polyfidelity, solo polyamory, mixed orientation marriages, and other relationships styles beyond monogamy. It features a blog, an extensive resource guide, message boards, and the Open List, a list of professionals (therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, consultants, relationship and life coaches, doctors, lawyers, etc.) who are experienced and knowledgeable about alternative sexuality, lifestyles, and relationships. Check it out!
Blogs and Events

Cool Links, Events
I’m following a new blog, Sex Work 101, edied by Audacia Ray. I’m really excited to see sex workers published educational material about the adult industry.
There are some really great events coming up!
If I had known about it sooner I would be out at Sex 2.0, the intersection of social media, feminism and sexuality. Too bad plane tickets would cost an arm and a leg a week before the event!
I will be at International Ms. Leather this year, volunteering and doing lapdances at the Thursday night Seduction event. I think that N’tali will be there as well, but I haven’t heard definite confirmation of that rumor.
And I am also planning on attending Arse Electronica again this year. Their 2008 theme is, “Do Androids Sleep with Electric Sheep?”
Sadie Dark Places

Cool Links
How did I not come to know about Sadie Dark Places until now? She commented on the previous entry, and I went to look at her site, and I was so impressed! She’s a writer of erotic fiction from the UK, although at the moment she is in France, or at least she was the last time she posted in mid-September. She’s been keeping her blog since August 2004, which is a couple of months longer than CyDyBlog has been around, so there is plenty of back writing to read while waiting for the next update. Not all of her posts are sexy - though many are - but they are all well written. Check her out!
Zille on Muki
November 7, 2007 |
Cool Links, Sex
I officially dedicated tonight to being “do what I want to” night, so except for a little bit of math homework, I’m chilling out. I found myself at Muki’s Kitchen, a site dedicated to vore. Also known as vorarephilia, it basically refers to cannibalism with a sexual context, although Eka’s portal provides examples of many other types of vore. Believe it or not, one of Cyber Dyke’s founders was featured in a couple of portfolios at Muki’s Kitchen! Although Zille’s photos are no longer available for online purchase, you can still see her in the free samples section. And even better, there is an essay she wrote about her experience modeling for Mr. and Mrs. Muki. (I believe it was originally posted at DarkPlay but I’m not sure.)
So anyway, I thought I would share the link to Muki’s Kitchen with anyone reading…if anyone is reading! (I never get comments so it’s hard to know.) If you want, you can share your thoughts on the vore fetish in the comments…I’d really love to hear from anybody out there…please?!
Dark Romance

Cool Links
I’m not even sure how I stumbled across Dark Romance! I ended up bookmarking this picture of Jacqueline as a reminder to come back to the site. When I did, I was impressed! There’s more than 20 girls on the site, all of whom have sensual, slightly dark-themed pictures, some of which include nudity. This is a really pretty site. I especially like that all the girls have little profiles up next to their photos. If there’s a pay section on this site, I can’t find it - you will get to enjoy a lot of beautiful pictures for free!
Gothic Sluts

Cool Links
Let’s say you’ve been a Cyber Dyke member for ages, you’ve seen all the pictures, and new ones just aren’t coming out often enough for you. Where do you go?
One possible destination that Cyber Dyke fans - especially those of you who like darkPlay - might like is Gothic Sluts. Here are a few samples for you. Click to make ‘em larger!
And yes…they are every bit as good as SG, but they’re not owned by someone who is disrespectful to women! Yay!
Ars Erotica

Cool Links
I’ve had this link in my blogroll for a while, but it’s not really a blog, so I removed it. Rahne Alexander used to write a frequent column called Ars Erotica. Here’s what she has to say about it:
Ars Erotica began as a platform from which I could make a place for some discourse on transgender identity, sexuality, queer theory and feminism — among other things. But sometimes I just managed to go on and on about the ginkgo trees that were stinking up my neighborhood. Ars Erotica ran from May 2002 until November 2004 in Manifesto:, the non-heterosexual newspaper of the Monterey Bay.
Definitely check it out if it sounds interesting. I’ve met Rahne once or twice, she’s really cool, and I really recommend Ars Erotica.

Pride Around the World
June 7, 2007 |
Around the World, Cool Links
It’s Pride month! I’m going to be providing sign language interpreting services at Capital Pride on Sunday, but there’s a lot more going on around the world. Latvia’s gay pride celebration was held recently, but unfortunately Moscow does not have one - those attempting to plan one were arrested recently. Pride celebrations have already passed in Warsaw and São Paulo. I noticed that three Pride events around the world make reference to Christopher Street - Berlin’s Christopher Street Day, Zurich’s Christopher Street Day, and Christopher Street West in Los Angeles - but New York City’s Heritage of Pride festival doesn’t mention it at all! (There is a march to the vicinity, though.) If you want to learn more about Pride festivals around the world, check out InterPride - it’s fun to read about the different festivities!
Audio-Controlled Vibrators

Cool Links, Sex
I came upon an excellent sex toy blog called Slashdong and I wanted to share it with you. Specifically, I want to direct you to Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Modern Audio Toys, which is the most in-depth review - and analysis - I have ever seen of audio-based toys, or possibly even any sex toy! (I was going to say it’s not safe for work, but then I remembered - neither is this blog. So if you’re reading this, you either don’t care about NSFW, or you aren’t even at work. To read more about NSFW, check out Susie Bright’s posting: Not Safe For Prudes.)
