I have pretty simple tastes when it comes to sex toys. There are a lot of good innovative well designed toys out there, but realistically I always return to basics. One of the innovative well designed new toys that I had a chance to play with is The My BFF vibe by Doc Johnson. YES, that is actually the name on the package, “My BFF.” The idea behind the name seems to be that this vibe spoons you and is friendly and comforting and your BFF. BFF stands for best friend forever, for you lucky folks who avoid the media overload of new slang.
This toy is a phalate-free TPR plastic called velvet touch. It is a waterproof, but can’t be totally sterilized like silicone. If the toy is going to be shared, and this one will be, make sure to use a condom over it. Otherwise it can be cleaned with soap and water or a 10% bleach solution. It has an adjustable speed dial on the same end where you insert the two AA batteries. It is pretty much silent. I don’t think you can hear it buzz unless you are the person using it. The total length is six inches and it’s not really shaped to be inserted. I tried. It didn’t work.
The toy has a nice curvy shape and the tip is slightly angled. The surface has these raised bumps around the center length. It really is shaped to spoon your vulva. I like that this toy touches all over your labia and vulva instead of just hitting the clit. If you like stimulation all over you will probably like this. I didn’t feel the vibration particularly focused in any one area of the toy. I liked the curve below the angled head on my clit, but I’m not sure if the vibration was really focused there. It certainly wasn’t focused in the tip or the head of the toy.
I could feel that the toy had a strong motor and the vibrations were reasonably powerful. I didn’t really get off on it though. It felt nice and I was able to enjoy myself, but I’m really used to have a vibe really strongly focus on my clit.
