Lesbian Sorority Established

This is cool news! The first college sorority for lesbian and bisexual women has been established - and what’s more, it’s in the south! Alpha Chi Upsilon is headquartered in Memphis, and has chapters in Houston and Nashville. It is not limited to students; professional working adults may also join.

In the Life Call for Interviews

In the Life, the gay and lesbian television program on public television, is looking for New York City women who partner with transmen. Here’s the blurb, courtesy Daily Dose of Queer:

PBS television’s LGBT-affirmative “In the Life” is producing a segment on women who partner with transmen. We are especially interested in stories about women who’ve had to rethink their identities due to their involvement with transmen - lesbians who now grapple with a heterosexual identity and straight women who now find themselves identifying as more queer. And those who are quite comfortable with a “trans-am” identity.

It seems “trans-am” refers to trans-amorous, just in case you didn’t know (I didn’t).

Gay Condo in Toronto!

As if I didn’t already want to move to Toronto enough! Now there is going to be a condominium for gays and lesbians there. You don’t have to be gay to buy there, but that’s who they’re marketing it to. How awesome is that?!

Network Update: Posteriority

That’s how many pictures of lovely Miss Lizz are in the latest update at Posteriority. The first picture was so sweet I had to reproduce it here, but things get a lot more naughty after that. Cyber Dyke’s First DVD!

The Cyber Dyke Network has released its first DVD! This special Sappho’s Girls item features three videos: Serafina and Zoe, Serafina and Zille, and Nikki and Zille. All three segments feature live sound, and they get explicit - as the info page says, there’s “lesbian oral sex, masturbation with fingers, and strap on sex.” (Gee, they make it sound so hot!) The full-length video is 75 minutes and costs $24.95. Check it out!

Whew! So much for my New Year’s resolution of posting in this blog every day this year, eh? Here it is the 5th and I’m just now making my first post! I’m going to start you off with some things to do in the new year.

If you live in NYC and you haven’t checked out Sexy Spirits yet, what are you waiting for? They offer workshops, classes, play parties, and other events in a sex-positive atmosphere. Nothing is specifically lesbian oriented - although Tristan Taormino is going to be there later this month - and some of it is a little hippie (I’m not into tantra, can you tell?), but they have a lot going on and it definitely looks worth checking out.

If you’re not in NYC, Tristan herself has some help for you. She runs a monthly newsletter that includes a calendar of nationwide events that are worth a peek. Have fun and keep yourselves busy!
