Hey there! See that ad box I’ve just added to the top of the left column? It’s something I’m trying out for a while. For a limited time, if you send me an e-mail (the address is my first name at cyber-dyke.net and you can get my first name from the author section in the left sidebar) and your ad is themely and approved and all that good stuff, I’ll host your ad for a week for free. Or if you want to actually pay for it, that would be good too! But I figure this way you’ll be able to see how many clickthroughs your ad actually gets, and then once the “free offer” is over if you are satisfied you can purchase more ad time. Please try me out!
I was just about to buy an ad. But….
It looks like this service uses Paypal to process payments. Paypal has a VERY strict no adult content policy, and I know of people who have had their accounts frozen permanently (that is, they either didn’t get their money out, or had to go through huge trouble to get it out) because of transactions that were only *vaguely* associated with the sex industry.
Because of this, I can’t risk buying an ad, and if I were you I’d be very reluctant to use this service.
