Queer Asians Respond

February 28, 2005 | Filed Under News Reports

The Advocate - the news magazine I want most to subscribe to! - has an article called Invisible no more that is about the response of lesbian and gay Asians to a homophobic (and Asian-phobic) feature in Details magazine. The page on Advocate.com also has links to related websites for queer Asians.

Senior Portraits Always Suck

February 25, 2005 | Filed Under News Reports

Everybody’s high school senior portrait always looks terrible, but they’re still fun to look back on after time has passed. Kelli Davis, a senior in Florida, won’t get that opportunity. Her picture was pulled from the yearbook because she was wearing a tuxedo - “boy’s clothes.” Supposedly the rules she broke weren’t about being a lesbian, they were about clothing - but the school officials apparently don’t realize that those two can be inextricably linked for butch women. Most of the parents who attended a school board meeting about the issue supported Davis’s right to wear the tux, but some parents supported the principal’s decision. One of those was Karen Gordon, who gave this terrifying, Orwellian statement:

When uniformity is compromised, then authority no longer holds.

The “drape” senior girls wear for in-school portraits is silly anyway, and I heartily endorse going elsewhere for pictures. My parents took me to a glamour photographer in the mall, where I wore a dress because that suited who I am. Kelli Davis’s parents took her to a photographer and she wore a tux, because that suited who she is. She wasn’t breaking the rules on purpose (there is no formal dress code there, by the way), she was just living her life. Such rules are absurd in the twenty-first century anyway - how on earth can they tell her not to wear “boy’s clothes” when there’s no such taboo in the rest of society?

Unfortunately, the school board didn’t reverse the principal’s decision, and Kelli Davis’s picture will not appear in the yearbook.

Network Update: Posteriority

February 24, 2005 | Filed Under CyDy Network

Ass fans, rejoice! Posteriority has put together a collection of photos of a bunch of lovely butts, belonging to many different women. Unfortunately there’s no model or photographer credit, but I think I see a few familiar faces, rings, hairstyles, and scenes! You get a gallery full of wide-open cheeks…and the collection is titled “she winks” so you know what you’re getting. Actually, the whole set showcases one of my favorite poses - I just love to see a girl’s pussy peeking through her legs when she’s posing with her ass in the air.

Australian Patricia LeFevre

February 23, 2005 | Filed Under Pop Culture

According to this article from KeralaNext.com, Patricia LeFevre from Australia can turn any woman gay. Best quote:

Between women calling me and camping out on my doorstep and fighting over me and jealous men sending me threatening letters and e-mails, I decided I had to get out of there for my own safety.

And all this because she’s beautiful!

From the Archives: darkPlay

February 22, 2005 | Filed Under CyDy Network

Now how could I have missed this?! Today Zille mentioned the time she’d fucked a car gearshift, and my ears pricked way up. She mentioned that the pictures were in the darkPlay archives, so when I got home from work I went straight to the site!

It’s from the archives, of course, and judging by Zille’s hair it’s a few years old. She does some posing on and with the car (think Low Rider), and the expressions on her face are just great! That means don’t skip through the posing and get to the good stuff, okay? The good stuff, though, is pretty hot - that is one lucky Camaro! That gearshift fits right up Zille’s shaved pussy, and there are both closeup shots and full-body yes-she-really-is-doing-it shots.

Y’know, this does make me want to try it, but my gearshift is bar-shaped at the top. Oh, fitting it in isn’t the problem…it’s how to keep it clean!

News Roundup

February 17, 2005 | Filed Under News Reports

Sorry for not posting sooner…I actually got a life today! I went out to dinner with a friend (no, not on a date). Anyway, here’s a few lesbian news tidbits that caught my eye:

CBC Arts: PBS chief to step down after lesbian cartoon controversy
It is a damn shame that this nation can’t handle a little bit of mind expansion from a kiddie show, and that we’re apparnently so uptight over inclusion and tolerance that this poor person has to step down over it.
Rutgers University bans antigay sandwich names
This feels like it belongs in News of the Weird. They don’t mention specific names, but what on earth could they be? The Faggot Burger? The Dyke Hoagie? This Newsday article doesn’t tell, but the quote at the end is somewhat troubling. Would David French approve of the sandwich titles staying up there if they used the N-word?
Bill to create “traditional marriage” license plates killed
Yay! Virginia finally does something right. I still would like to move out of this state, but at least I won’t want to rear-end everybody with “traditional marriage” plates.

Network Update: darkPlay

February 15, 2005 | Filed Under CyDy Network

The Valentine theme continues in the latest darkPlay update, but it’s not all hearts and candy! Instead there’s just a lot of red…and it’s all on Zille. Not only is she wearing red, but her ass turns a bright apple red after getting spanked a lot by Pandora. In fact, there is a really long spanking sequence in this update: there’s five pages total, and four and a half of them are spanking! This is, of course, a continuation from last week.

By the way, if you’re not already aware of it, the Cyber Dyke Network is still running a Valentine special! Get five bucks off the joining price when you sign up now! And don’t forget the free pictures from recent updates…you can get to those from the main page too.

Network Update: Serafina Sox

There’s a hot Valentine-themed update at Serafina Sox this week! Sweet little Makaio shows off with some heart-print tights. If you like exotic young cuties, this is definitely a good gallery to check out. She not only wears the tights (or are they stockings?) but she plays with them too! Makaio gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “stocking cap” if you know what I’m talking about…hee! There’s even a little Valentine bondage in this gallery. She’s definitely a sexy young woman.

Gay Penguins Win Out

I was half amused and half dismayed when I heard a zoo in Germany was going to import female penguins and break up the gay male penguin couples they had. Fortunately, there was so much backlash from gay rights groups that they’ve canceled the plans. I’m curious, though - why does everybody insist that penguins have a sexuality? It’s not like they have political motives. It seems to me that the penguin brain is too tiny to understand complex issues like homosexuality. Granted, they’re going against reproductive norms, but I hardly think the penguins are deliberately gay! Still, penguins are cute and I’m glad the German penguins will not be isolated from their mates..
