Strap-on.org

Cool Links
Long ago, the operators of strap-on.org snagged the domain name every web pornographer and sex toy shop would love to have. But instead of selling it, they turned the site into an awesome sex-positive community with a queer focus. The news hasn’t been updated in a long time, but the message board is hopping! The most-visited sections of the board are “depictions and debauchery,” “trans & gender variant forum,” and “let’s talk about sex (and health).” There are a number of other sections for specialized topics, too, including sex work, mental health issues, and even arts and crafts! If you’re looking for a welcoming discussion community, strap-on.org is definitely the place to try.
Just so you know, I’ll be going on vacation for the next week and a half. Zille, who runs the Cyber-Dyke Network, has graciously agreed to fill in for me while I’m gone! I’ll be flying home on the evening of October 27th, and you’ll hear from me again the following day. (If I have the opportunity to post something while I’m on vacation - perhaps about the lesbian scene in Puerto Rico - I will definitely check in!)
Network Update: Serafina Sox

CyDy Network
Have you ever noticed how black and white fetish photography makes the models even more beautiful? I think it’s the added elegance. Whatever the reason, Sassette and Sabina look great in this week’s update to Serafina Sox (the foot fetish site in the network). They lie ass-to-ass, on their backs on a luscious fuzzy rug, and worship each others’ toes and feet. There’s also some cool sensation play in there!
Network Update: darkPlay

CyDy Network
When darkPlay breaks a single shoot up into galleries, you just know it’s going to get better and better with each new release. Remember how excited I was about the Gamer Sex shoot last week? This week is even hotter. I’ve always dreamed of doing geek porn; I figured there has got to be a fetish for hot chicks lit by the soft glow of a monitor. (I’m not talking about images from a webcam, but pictures where the computer is actually in the shot.) But darkPlay has beat me to it with this fabulous series! Watching Zille work that Atari joystick must have been an awesome show for Blade! If you didn’t sign up for the Cyber-Dyke Network when I said you should last week, you should definitely become a member now. This collection of photos is not to be missed!

News Reports
Syndicated columnist Mubarak Dahir reports on the latest craze in Oklahoma high schools: lesbianism! Despite the state’s reputation as “the buckle of the bible belt,” there is an apparent rash of girls having sex with each other in the bathrooms. Schools in the southeast part of the state are only allowing one girl at a time into the bathrooms because the risk of girl-on-girl action is so high. I don’t know about your high school, but mine was definitely not like this, and I grew up in a fairly progressive part of Maryland! In fact, I was the only queer person I knew in my high school at all. There was absolutely no reference made to anything other than heterosexuality, save for a single rainbow flag posted in the guidance counselors’ office, which wasn’t enough incentive for me to talk to them or anybody else about it. Dahir makes reference to cunnilingus and other acts of debauchery, but I wonder just how serious these girls are actually getting. Is it kissing, or more? (And could somebody please take pictures of the seniors, please? They’re probably 18 years old!)

News Reports
The Caribbean resort company Sandals has finally lifted its policy that prevented same-sex couples from visiting their thirteen resorts. Several companies around the world (including the Washington Post and taxis in London) refused to print ads for Sandals because of their exclusionary practices. While I can appreciate that this is a great step and I’m pleased they finally chucked the policy, I’m still not sure gay and lesbian couples should go to Sandals, just because they can. For one thing, just because gay couples are allowed in doesn’t mean they’re going to be treated with respect by the staff and other guests. There’s also a Groucho Marx element here - do we want to join this club just because it will accept us as members? There are plenty of other all-inclusive resorts throughout the Caribbean that welcome gay and lesbian travelers, including the large family of SuperClubs locations. And there are literally hundreds of smaller, more intimate resorts throughout the region. In summary, while I’m glad Sandals has opened their doors, I still think there are better places to go.
Flamingo Project
Cool Links
The fabulous Zille has put together another cool site! It’s called Flamingo Project and features fetish models posing with an inflatable flamingo. Who ever thought a blow-up bird would get so lucky?! I’m unable to get to the Bay Area to have pictures taken myself, but I will probably get our plastic lawn flamingo (affectionately called Herman) inside for some action!

This math seems a little crazy, but one large shower plus two hot lesbians turns out to equal thirty-four awesome pictures. These remind me somewhat of my own shoot for On Our Backs, for which I spent a lot of time in a combination shower/bath - the tile is always a great environment for some eye-popping images of the female form. Zille and Marie are captured under the water’s spray in pure naked glory…picture 10 especially captivated me, because I love looking at the small of a woman’s back! The two of them are pretty similar in body size and shape, which makes for some great symmetry in several of the photos. (And I think Marie is one of the few people whose hair is longer than mine!)

Well now! What does that make you think of? If you’re politically focused, you might think of feminism and the struggle for equal rights. If you’re like me, though, you think of one thing:
Fisting.
That’s right, ladies (and any reading gentlemen). It’s time to talk about my all-time favorite sex subject, one that is dear to my heart. I have been getting fisted for a while now, though I’ve yet to be on the other side. (After my pictorial in OOB, a reader wrote in that she would be happy to let me try it on her, but of course it never happened!) Because I’ve been familiar with it for a while, I’ve also done a lot of research and answered a lot of questions. In one particular online community, I’m the so-called “expert” on the subject - which means I get plied with the same questions every couple of months. So, again, I’m very happy to write about this.
Anyway! The first thing I want to say is that A Hand in the Bush is the absolute best book about vaginal fisting - in fact, I think it’s the only one that focuses on that topic. (There are other fisting books, Trust: The Hand Book among them, but they tend to discuss anal fisting almost exclusively.) If you’re curious about fisting females, if you want to try it, if you want to know why anybody would do such a horrible thing - you definitely need to read this book.
I suspect that vaginal fisting is probably easier for lesbians than for heterosexual couples, simply because the female hand tends to be smaller than the male hand. I don’t have actual figures, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to find that a greater percentage of lesbians engage in it than straight women. And although ass fisting is more commonly seen as a practice among gay men, there’s no reason a woman can’t do it too. (I haven’t - yet.)
I’d like to pose a couple of questions in this entry; feel free to post your responses in the comments or use your own site. (Don’t forget TrackBack!) Have you ever participated in fisting? If so, what role did you play, what gender was your partner, and what orifices have you (had) fisted? If not, are you interested in fisting? If not, what is it about the idea of fisting that you dislike? (What about it turns you off, or just disgusts you?) I look forward to reading your comments!
Network Update: darkPlay

CyDy Network
I love starting every weekend with new updates from darkPlay! This most recent update is quite possibly my favorite out of everything I’ve ever seen on dP. Zille and Blade co-star with…an Atari! For some reason I never thought of using an extension cord quite like that before, but it’s obviously very effective. This is truly supreme geek porn…wait till you see what Zille does with a slide rule! If you’re not already a member of darkPlay, this is absolutely positively worth signing up for, just for this one gallery! Thank you, Zille and Blade, for some totally fucking awesome pictures!
Breast Cancer Treatment
October 8, 2004 |
Health
I never expected to make two posts about Melissa Etheridge so close together, but after her recent announcement that she has breast cancer, it seemed like a good topic to bring up. About.com has some information about lesbians and breast cancer. What’s most important is that all women should do regular self-exams, and those over 40 or with an increased risk for breast cancer should get regular mammograms. The Mautner Project is an organization with a focus on lesbian health, especially cancer. The disease strikes one woman out of nine, so while it may not be possible to prevent breast cancer, it is certainly possible to catch it early and begin treatment.
Besides, we want to keep those gorgeous tits of yours healthy for a long time to come!
